1million Riyal fine and Jail for employing unlicensed engineers in SaudiArabia

 



Saudi Arabia’s Public Prosecution issued a statement on 22Dec2020, prohibiting the employment of engineers who are not professionally accredited while also announcing heavy fine of SR 1Million and 1 year jail for the employers..

The prosecution also stated that it is not permissible to use a speciality or a professional degree that is not accredited.

It also warned against providing incorrect data with the intention of getting accreditation or a professional license as well as the impersonation of a classified title without being professionally accredited engineers.

The statement added that it is prohibited to commit any of the following actions:


— Providing false data or resorting to illegal methods for getting professional accreditation/a license or its renewal and for obtaining a professional degree.

— Using any means of publicity and advertisement to show the entitlement to practice one of the engineering professions without obtaining the necessary professional license or accreditation.

— Impersonation of titles for professional degrees granted to accredited professionals.

The Public Prosecution stressed that it will conduct investigations and prosecute all those who are found guilty of committing any of the above-motioned acts, noting that the offenders will face imprisonment for a maximum period of one year or a fine of up to SR1 million.

Weather Alert issued until Thursday in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Civil Defence has issued Weather warnings  for several parts of Saudi Arabia starting from Tuesday until Thursday.


General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection has also forecasted an increased chance of thunderstorms.
The Saudi regions most likely to be affected were the capital Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, Hail, Qassim, the Eastern Province, and the Northern Borders Region.
All were expected to experience light to medium rain and brisk winds, and heavy downpours, possibly leading to flooding, were predicted in some parts of the country.
The Civil Defense has called on all residents of saudi arabia to stay away from areas prone to flash flooding or high-water levels.

Saudi Arabia announces new Covid-19 Travel restrictions for Air, Land and Sea borders

 Saudi Arabia Suspends All International Flights for Travellers, Temporarily for a Week, Extendable by Another Week.


 As per Official sources , the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's government has decided to take the following precautionary measures, due to the spread of new strain of Novel Corona Virus:

First: 
Suspension of international flights for travelers, except in exceptional cases, temporarily for one week, which can be extended for another week.
 The foreign flights that are currently inside the Kingdom, will however be allowed to leave.

Second:
Entry has been suspended in SaudiArabia through land and sea ports temporarily for one week, which can be extended for another week.

Third: 
Anyone who has returned from one of the European countries or any country where the new strain has appeared after 08/12/2020, as determined by the Ministry of Health must adhere to the following:
1- The Individual has to do Home isolation for 14Days, starting from the date of arrival in SaudiArabia
2- He/She should take a COVID-19 test during the isolation period and retake the test every five days.

Fourth: Anyone who has returned from or passed through a European country, or any country where the new strain has appeared, during the past three months, must take a COVID-19 test.


Fifth:
The movement of goods, commodities and supply chains from countries where the new strain of COVID-19 has not appeared are excluded from the above-mentioned measures, as determined by the Ministry of Health in coordination with the Ministry of Transport.

All the above procedures will be reviewed as per the reports from the Ministry of Health, and it will be decided whether to extend the restrictions by one more week.

Ministry of Interior outlines fines for violation of Covid19 regulations

Fine on limited space Non-Family gatherings of more than 50 People.

 



The Minstry of Interior (MOI) has informed today that the attendance or invitation to non-family gatherings of 50+ people in one or limited space is a violation of the covid-19 regulations.

The ministry further said that any gathering inside homes, rest houses, farms, camps, chalets, or open areas of more than 50 in one or limited space will invite a fine of SR15,000 for the facility and the official, and SR5,000 for attendees and invitees.

repeat violation will carry a fine of SR30,000 for the facility and the official and   SR10,000 for the attendees and invitees.

MOI added that if the violation will be committed for the third time by the facility and the official, the fine will be doubled and the official will be referred to the Public Prosecution and attendees and invitees too will be prosecuted.

The ministry urged the public to inform it about any illegal gathering by making a call to the toll free number 999 in all regions of the Kingdom and 991 in Makkah region.
